I love Naot sandals and have several pairs that I wear regularly. They are very comfortable. I think this is a beautiful sandal. However, it does not have much padding under the foot. I am an old, skinny lady and have very little natural padding on my feet. When I tried on this sandal and found that it hurt my feet to walk in it, I found that I have another shoe by Naot that has the same sole. Because that was an enclosed shoe I was able to put an extra innersole in it and wear it, but it still is not totally comfortable. I must stick with the Naot shoes with a thicker sole..
Sorry to hear that the sandal is not padded enough for you! That style has a removable footbed, so you could try taking the existing footbed out, if you have an orthotic or another soft insole that you'd like to use in it's place. If you live locally, try stopping by either store and we'd be happy to give you a few foam pads that you could try.
I bought this shoe for a trip to Europe. I wanted something that was comfortable and supportive for walking. Plus, I needed a shoe to wear with casual dresses. This shoe was so perfect that I bought another pair in a different color when I came home!

This style is easily one of my favorites! It is a great transitional style that I bring out early in the Spring and early Fall. The footbed is amazing! I always take it on vacation because the enclosed back gives me a lot of support when I am doing a lot of walking. I choose the teal/tan combination because I thought I would wear it more in the Spring with my Summer clothes. But I have found that it is seasonless and I end up wearing it frequently in the Fall.
