A Year of Changes

It’s been a year of changes, and we’ve got a big one on the horizon! We finally have the keys to our Camp Hill store at brand-new Neighbors and Smith retail center, and we’ve been busy getting it ready for YOU! Opening a shoe store is not a “turnkey” operation. There is still a lot to do, but we’re working every day to get things ready. We anticipate having a “soft” opening sometime in February, with a Grand Opening in mid-March. Stay tuned for details! The best way to get updates in through our email and social media channels—Facebook and Instagram.
Top on our list of things-to-do is setting up the stockroom. The stock room reminds me of an iceberg--it’s the part that you don’t see, but it’s also biggest part of the store. Every day we’re transferring inventory from Harrisburg to Camp Hill, starting with the clearance room. You’re going to LOVE the big, beautiful new clearance room in Camp Hill! When we transition the Harrisburg clearance room from winter to spring (which will happen after 2/14/21), it will be filled with items that are all new to the clearance room!
We are just wrapping up our winter clearance in Harrisburg and preparing to receive new spring merchandise in both stores. At the Shoppes at Susquehanna Marketplace, we’ve still got two week left for our end-of-season sale which ends on February 14th—so don’t miss out on 10% off boots, 20% off leather jackets and an extra 50% off clearance items. The boots are discounted automatically on our website, but to get 20% off our jackets, use the promocode jacket20 at checkout. You’ll have to visit us in person at our Harrisburg store to take advantage of the extra discount on the clearance shoes, though!
We’re slowing starting to get delivery on new product so that there will be exciting new things for you to see in both our existing Harrisburg location, and our brand-new Camp Hill shop. Our first spring delivery has come from fan-favorite Eric Michael. We've got a collection of sandals, for those dreaming of spring, and an updated athleisure style in perforated leather. Of course, more spring styles are arriving shortly! You can expect lots of new arrivals in the coming weeks.
I also want to clarify that we are NOT closing our Harrisburg store at the Shoppes at Susquehanna Marketplace. We’ve designed the Camp Hill store to compliment, not replace, Harrisburg, so that customers can enjoy shopping at both locations. There will be popular items that you’ll find at both stores, as well some things that will be exclusive to one store or the other. Our dressier selection, including evening shoes and pumps will primarily be featured in Harrisburg.
My father Joe liked to say that the store isn’t a museum. “Nothing is nailed down”, he’d say. As we prepare for the biggest change in the store’s history since our move to the Shoppes at Susquehanna Marketplace, that sense of flexibility guides us. 2020 proved that even when you make plans, you have to be ready to shift and adapt to the circumstances. We think we know what kind of mix of shoes and accessories we want for Camp Hill, but we know that to succeed we need to listen to YOU, our customers, and respond to your needs and requests. Over the next few months, I ask you to be patient as we balance the mix of items between the stores and as we tweak our store hours to respond to both your response and the needs of the staff.
As always, thank you for your continued support. We hope that you are excited about the changes that are to come!
